New starter alert! Meet Mikhaila Warburton
The gang in our Sydney office is getting bigger, with our new starter Mikhaila Warburton! She has extensive experience in recruitment, runs her own career coaching business for return to work parents and is a mum to two young girls. We love her energy and expertise, and we’re very excited she’s part of the team.
We sat down and had a chat with Mikhaila so you can get to know her a little better.
What’s your role at Creative Natives?
Here at Creative Natives Sydney team, I head up the Creative and Design space, helping agencies and companies access top talent. I like to consider myself a bit of a culture influencer that makes people say “I wanna work there!”
Why did you want to join the team?
What a bunch of legends! Across my years in recruitment I’ve never had the pleasure to meet such a genuine, talented, caring group of professionals all under one roof. The Creative Native brand is solid but they’re also brave in their endeavours to make true change across the recruitment sector and that’s what I’m here for.
What do you love about recruitment?
I love this question! People. I’m a real people person, I gain energy by being around others. So give me interviews, client meetings, creating video content to share all of these interactions fuel me.
If you weren’t working in recruitment, what would you be doing?
I’d love to be a luxurious travel experience host. My job would be travelling around the world with my family and experience the best that travel has to offer and then creating content about it to share back with the rest of the world. YES PLEASE!
If you could be a guest on any podcast, what would it be and why?
I would LOVE to be on the Jay Shetty Podcast. Why? I love listening to him and it would be pretty epic to have his take and insights into some of the things that I’ve experience and done in life.
What are you watching/listening to/reading right now?
The Lioness is amazing and you are also going to catch me watching anything Real Housewife related. There, I said it – I love me some reality TV. I’m not reading a whole heap right now with two young kids but I do love to habit stack with a good old podcast; Jay Shetty, DOC, Alex Hormozi and The Affirmation Babe by Ashley Dianna.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs.
Best trip you’ve been on?
Six weeks in Europe. You know the bougie kind around Greece, Spain, Italy. Cocktails, boats, sun, swims – it was epic!
Do you have a hidden talent?
I’m pretty good at reciting move lines in character. Miky the mimic was my nickname. HA!
